What transfers

briDJe reads and writes the following metadata fields across all supported platforms:

• Title, Artist, Genre, Album, Label, Year
• BPM — as detected or manually set in the source platform
• Key — translated to the correct notation for the target platform
• Rating, Comment

Some fields exist in one platform but not another. briDJe skips fields with no equivalent in the target.

Editing metadata in briDJe

Open the track detail panel by pressing D or clicking Details. Click any editable field — Title, Artist, Genre, Album, Label, Year, BPM, Rating, or Comment — to edit it inline. Press Enter or click elsewhere to save. Undo with Cmd+Z / Ctrl+Z.

Edits are saved immediately and will be included when you export.

Key notation

Musical keys can be displayed in three notations. Change your preference in Settings → Key Notation:

When exporting, briDJe always writes the key format each target platform expects — your display preference doesn’t affect the export.

BPM

BPM is editable in the detail panel — click the BPM field and type a new value. This is useful for correcting tracks that were analyzed at half- or double-time.

When importing from audio files, you can set the BPM analysis range in Settings → BPM Detection Range to match your music genre:

89–170	Drum & bass, jungle
