What transfers
When you tick Import playlists in the Import dialog, briDJe brings in:
- All playlists and sub-playlists
- Folder and crate hierarchy
- Track order within each playlist
The full folder structure is preserved. Platforms with nesting limits (VirtualDJ: 3 levels) will have deeper nesting flattened automatically on export.
Smart playlists
Smart crates (Serato Smart Crates, Rekordbox dynamic filters) are not transferred because they depend on platform-specific filter rules. Static playlists generated from smart rules are transferred as regular playlists.
Browsing playlists in briDJe
The Playlist Sidebar on the left side of the window shows all imported playlists. Click a playlist to filter the track list to only those tracks. Click All Tracks at the top to return to the full view.
Creating playlists in briDJe
Click the + button at the top of the Playlist Sidebar. Enter a name and press Enter.
Adding tracks to a playlist
Select one or more tracks in the list, then right-click and choose Add to Playlist → [playlist name]. Multi-select with Cmd+Click / Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click.
Managing playlists
Right-click any playlist in the sidebar to rename or delete it. Playlists are stored in briDJe’s internal database — all changes are reflected when you export.
