Download the installer
Head to the Download page and grab the installer for your operating system. The macOS build ships as a signed and notarized .dmg; the Windows build ships as a signed .exe installer.
Run the installer
macOS: Open the .dmg file, drag briDJe to your Applications folder, and launch it. On first launch, macOS may ask you to confirm opening an app from an identified developer — click Open.
Windows: Run the .exe installer and follow the prompts. briDJe installs to C:\Users\[you]\AppData\Local\Programs\bridje by default.
First launch
When you first open briDJe, your library will be empty. The empty state screen shows an Import Library button — click it to get started, or use the Import menu at the top of the window.
If you already have a license key, go to Settings → License → Activate to unlock your full library. Otherwise, the free tier activates automatically — you can import and export up to 15 tracks immediately.
macOS Gatekeeper
If macOS shows “cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified”:
- Right-click the app in Finder and select Open, then click Open in the dialog
- Or: System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll to the briDJe entry → click Open Anyway
This only needs to happen once.
Windows SmartScreen
If Windows Defender SmartScreen blocks the installer, click More info → Run anyway.
Next steps
Once installed, head to License Activation if you have a paid license, or jump straight to Your First Sync to transfer your first library.
