Beat Grids

Última atualização

What transfers

briDJe transfers beat grids without re-analysis — the anchor point and BPM are read from the source and written to the target in its native format. You keep the grids you already spent time setting.

The waveform view shows beat grid markers with downbeat indicators (brighter, colored), so you can visually confirm the grid looks right before exporting.

Precision across platforms

Different platforms store beat grid anchor points with different precision — Rekordbox uses milliseconds, Traktor uses samples at the source sample rate. briDJe converts between these formats, typically achieving under 0.5ms drift.

Variable BPM tracks

Tracks with variable BPM may not transfer perfectly on all platforms. briDJe transfers the primary BPM and anchor. Platforms that support variable grids (Engine DJ, Traktor) preserve the full grid; others receive the primary BPM.

Editing beat grids in the Deck Player

Load a track by double-clicking it or pressing Enter. With the track loaded:

ActionShortcut
Set downbeat at current playheadB
Shift grid left 10 ms, (comma)
Shift grid right 10 ms. (period)

The Beat Grid section in the track detail panel (D) shows the current anchor position and BPM. Edits made here are saved immediately and will be included when you export.

Troubleshooting

Beat grid looks wrong after transfer — This can happen with tracks that have variable BPM or unusual time signatures. Use the target platform’s beat grid editor for minor adjustments, or edit the grid in briDJe’s Deck Player before exporting.
