Loops

Setting a loop in the deck
Load a track (see Library and Player), then:
- Click IN at the start point, then OUT at the end point.
- Or use an auto-loop of 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32 beats. Auto-loops follow the beat grid, so check the grid first (Beat Grids).
- A loop you save activates automatically.
- EXIT ends the playback loop but keeps the saved loop.
With Quantize on, new loops snap. Edits go to the working copy of the loaded track; the audio file isn’t modified.
Saved loops
Saved loops appear in a list where you can toggle each one. On the waveform, drag the loop’s start or end. In the track detail panel, type exact start and end times.
In Details, Cue Points has a loops area with + Add Loop. A new loop defaults to 0–4 seconds, so edit its boundaries before you export. You can also set a label, color, type and lock. Keep the end after the start.
Don’t assume a fixed number of loop slots. How many loops a platform keeps is up to that platform.
What each target does with loops
- If a loop and a cue both claim the same pad on the target, export is blocked until you resolve it. The original snapshot is kept.
- The loop lock flag is currently preserved only by the Serato adapter. Treat it as unavailable elsewhere.
- Serato and Engine DJ omit unnumbered memory and load entries from the pad bank unless you explicitly assign them to free pads.
- Traktor can’t take arbitrary RGB; it uses its own cue-type colors, and briDJe doesn’t promise a nearest match.
The export preview reports omissions. Read it (Exporting and Backups).
Checking the result
After a transfer, load a track in the target app and test a few loops by ear. If a loop is off, fix it in briDJe and re-export. See Hot Cues for pads and memory cues.
